York Minster, East Window framed ceramic tile is by Emily Ward from her Yorkshire art print and gift range. All of Emily's ceramic tiles are printed and hand pressed in her art studio near Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Emily has captured the impressive Gothic minster with a lovely warming glow from the morning sun streaming down upon it. York Cathedral has been given a yellow hue which makes the ancient stonework look golden.
Emily's characteristic splashes of paint add a colourful tone to the medieval stained glass.

The East Window of York Minster was built around 1405 - 08 and is classed as the largest expanse of medieval stained glass in Britain. It was a very ambitious project at the time in the Middle Ages with over 300 glass panels being fitted.
York Minster is also know as the 'Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York'. As one of the finest examples of medieval building work in Europe, the cathedral took 250 years to build.
. Ceramic Framed Tile
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
Frames are available in White and Black Frames.
Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm
Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
