York Minster is the 2nd largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. The full name of York Minster is the 'Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York'.
This Gothic style church was intended and designed to be the greatest cathedral in the kingdom. It took over 250 years, between 1220 and 1472.
